Patriots vs. Seahawks: Who’s Winning on Social?

Shareablee analyzed The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks social engagement for the week leading up to Super Bowl XLIX. We also took a look at the most popularposts on Facebook and Twitter surrounding both teams.

While the Patriots social efforts have brought in 56% more social actions (3.7M) than the Seahawks (2.3M), the Facebook and Twitter posts that have gained high social engagement numbers are much more positive than those about the Patriots.

On Twitter, the top tweets mentioning the Seahawks were good-natured and focused on Seahawks fans and road to the Super Bowl, while the top tweets about the Patriots mainly revolved around the #deflategate scandal.

On Facebook, the only top posts being positive about the Patriots were posted by the New England Patriots account. In an effort to build morale and show why they are one of the best teams in the NFL, the Patriots posted team videos and stats.
