The ranking, which includes all television shows and the main network brand accounts, reflects a total of nearly 600 million social actions across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. Engagement for TV networks increased 5.5 percent compared to May. Engagement from video content grew 13 percent month-over-month and represents 31 percent of the total social actions captured by TV Networks across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in June.
ESPN ranked No. 1 overall with 138.9 million actions, a 17% month-over-month engagement improvement. ESPN also topped all networks with 32.7 million actions from video. ABC bested all other networks on Facebook with 37.8 million actions. ESPN drove engagement by ranking first overall on Twitter and Instagram with 12.3 million and 93.7 million actions, respectively. MTV took the top spot on Tumblr with 146,200 actions.
In addition to winning Facebook, ABC also captured the most amplification of any network with 13.5 million shares and retweets. While Freeform experienced the most month-over-month engagement growth at 124%, FOX generated the greatest increase in actions at 1,900%.

v The percent change in actions metric calculates the growth or decline in total actions in June 2016 compared to May 2016.
