Ricky Martin's 'Fiebre' Performance Rules Top Facebook Live Videos Chart

Published on Mar 15th, 2018

Martin leads Claudia Leitte, whose videos from Brazilian Carnival take Nos. 2-4.

Ricky Martin’s new single “Fiebre” has made a splash on the Billboard charts since its mid-February release, debuting at No. 27 on the Hot Latin Songs chart dated March 10, and now the track helps the Latin star to another chart peak -- this time at No. 1.

Martin’s Feb. 23 Facebook Live video in which he performed the song, which features Wisin & Yandel, live in Dubai, leads Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart for February 2018.

The chart, whose latest edition recaps February 2018 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.

Martin’s “Fiebre” performance, taken from the Emirate Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival, was filmed using a camera that allowed viewers to rotate the clip 360 degrees. It led all Facebook Live videos from musicians in February 2018 in reactions (142,000) and first-seven-days views (12.3 million), according to Shareablee.

However, Martin’s performance could not top the other two metrics on the chart, comments and shares. That distinction goes to Muse, whose Feb. 24 livestream from the band’s request-driven show in Paris moved 60,000 comments and 15,000 shares – the former number understandable since viewers could request songs using Facebook’s comments function on the clip. The video ranks at No. 5 overall on the February 2018 chart.

Between Martin and Muse, Claudia Leitte takes Nos. 2-4 thanks to posts amid the 2018 Brazilian Carnival, which took place Feb. 9-14. In addition to making videos from the celebration, Leitte also promoted her new song “Carnaval,” featuring Pitbull.
