Netflix and E! make big gains in Shareablee's latest Power Rankings

Tuesday 10 December, 2019: Shareablee today released its latest Power Rankings, showing Netflix and E! make significant gains among the Top 10 US TV Networks.

In the month of November, the US TV Networks category saw a rise of 2% in Total Actions and 1% in overall Audience.

ESPN led the category with 251 million Total Actions in the month - or a rise of 26% on the previous month, an additional 14% Shares and 14% more Video Actions.

Netflix increased it total actions by 28% and jumped 5 places to 2nd position with content on programs including Stranger Things, You Series 2, Sex Education, Selena: The Series and The Knight Before Christmas. 

With a 25% boost to its Total Actions, E! rose 4 places to 4th position. It's top content including Video from the American Music Awards, People's Choice Awards and E! News which drove a 10% rise in Shares and a 56% rise in Video Actions over the month.

Shareablee CEO Tania Yuki said social was recording a strong finish to the year and exceeded the engagement levels seen at the same time in 2018.

"US TV Networks increased their actions by 13% in November compared to the same period last year," Ms Yuki said.

"Instagram and Twitter in particular recorded strong rises in total actions in the TV Networks category in November, of 10% a piece compared to the previous month.

"It indicates a growth trend that we expect to continue into December as holiday programming and streaming changes create fresh opportunities for social," Ms Yuki said.
